does anyone know anything about this? qoute from the latest edition of PC Gaming world...
'it's appearance on electronic boutique's shopping list has sent fans wild with excitment.'
developed by TBC/Bioware.
could be BS but for this to appear in print means that surely there must be something to this.

Baldur's Gate III on EBGames?
Sunday, June 8, 2003, 12:29 | MageDragon
We have received many many emails today about a preorder page on EBGames for Baldur's Gate III. At this time we cannot confirm this is true or just a mistake by EBGames. If we hear anything, we will post about it.
UPDATE: Line Producer Kevin Osburn from Black Isle Studios has confirmed that this not true:
Hey Mage,
I forwarded it to the proper people at Interplay so they can tell EB to remove that from the site. It is just a mistake, and that aint no bologna
Thanks for the heads up
-Kevin
No, thank you Kevin.

There was going to be another bg-ish game by BIS, but it is on hold indefinitely at the moment [a pity since a large portion had been completed], rumoured to be due to licensing issues, as Interplay no longer has the rights to make D&D games, or something like that.
Sammael, on the BIS/Interplay boards, compiled this FAQ:
http://avala.yubc.net/~svt/
He also had some images on his site, from the avatars used by J.E. Sawyer, the lead designer, which were almost certainly from Jefferson, but I can't find them at the moment.

There we go - found 'em:

And some nice concept art:

*sigh*
It's a pity it's on hold [basically means canned]

Oh - the Jefferson team is no working on "Van Buren", which is almost certainly going to be Fallout 3.

It could be - but I'd purchase Lionheart instead. Arcanum wasn't that great - but I've only played the demo. I'll probably get ToEE anyway....

Arcanum was a game of enormous potential, but poorly worked out. However, being the die-hard CRPG'er that i am i liked it very much. I'm counting on it that A2 will kick serious ass. I gotta upgrade to play Fallout 3 and Lionheart smoothly tho! Not to mention Half-life 2!

I'm replaying Morrowind. I forgot how much serious butt that game kicks. There's so many quests and such I never did. I'm doing thieves' guild and mage's guild quests right now.
Gah! None of the buttons work in Konqueror. Stupid browser.

Heh...if and when my computer gets upgraded that's the first thin i install...talk about a longeviteous game. Add the two expansions to that and you'd play forever.
