Post high speed Morrowind and BG/BG2
Check it out

http://speeddemosarchive.com/gamelist/PC.html

Videos of people finishing games in high speed. Someone beat morrowind in like 8 minutes. :) BG1 and BG2 are in there too, but are longer...still, it's amazing. These fools are crazy.

yeah i've read about hte morrowind before, never bothered to watch the vid. But that's basically the reason why potions and enchanted items will be linked to your skill level in oblivion, so that you can't finish the game in 3 seconds flat. I'm sure someone will still find a way round it though ;)

from BG2 run:
...and the most important thing of all, my class (sorcerer). My alignement was very important because I wanted a particular familiar (see segment 6-8). As for my stats, well the regular.. No CHA or WIS I needed STR (to cary items), CONS (to survive), INT (well.. That's kind of obvious)

Weird i thought sorcerers needed high charisma, or am i that wrong :?

Amazing. :) Should I say ... HL1 in 3:50:00 or HL2 in 3:05:00?

I am not going to accept 45:45 for the HL1 because it is simply impossible during the regular play. I saw the move and can say that beside that its creator skipped the intro (which is a part of game) many parts of real-time movie were cutted, plot is broken and many flaws and cheats were used to reach the result worse than 45:45.

Man this is a blasphemy!

During a regular play I do not expect better than 3:00:00.

Yeah they use a lot of bugs, glitches, ... to achieve those amazing times of course.

Oh and if i'm right about the CHA, i wonder why the guy is claiming to be playing BG2 for years and years and making such a mistake.

Maybe he wished to show how CHA is not important at all, when you have desire to run through BG. :P (maybe he is just a N00b actually... who'd know...)

on the morrowind thing...

I carefully watched the whole movie...no cheats. The strange cuts and stuff are scrolls of almsivi intervention (he uses a couple) and he also uses Mark and Recall when he's in Dagoth Ur or whatever to speed up the whole grabbing Sunder and whatever the other thing is.
