well, where the witch chick is with the bowl, head across the bridge but don't go into Baldur's Gate. Go north instead. You can go north between the river and the city's walls. :/

How difficult is what, Ulgoth's beard? Well, it's a town, so at first there isn't any fighting there. I'm not going to go into details since I don't want to ruin the quests, but the quests you get from there can be pretty rough, especially the later ones.

that's all I needed to know, I'll head there soon, I got a few more places along the coast ling to check out. I just assumed it was a dungeon. Not been in a good dungeon yet... i mean... the mines sucked, and that place under that broken bridge thing was pretty crappy too! The dwarven mines was ok, but not really a dungeon... to easy. Not enough enemies. except for the bottom floor really.

go to Durlag's tower. That probably qualifies. :) Just be prepared to run away.

somewhere in the beginning of chapter 5, did some little sidequests in baldur's gate (the city) but not many. just walking around a bit. getting all the maps to highlight.

The one thing that annoyed me about BG1 apaprt from it being really hard, was that i picked up so many little side quests i never knew which i'd done, or which i hadn't. And i forgot about so many...

I never had any idea as to where i was going, and one day i walked onto a map and got instantly turned into stone by a bloody basilisk......safe to say, having had no saves anywhere near that got really pissed  BG2 also gives you more of a wide view as to what's around you, on BG1 you could never tell what was gonna attack you till it actually did :? And the non saving when looking in the inventory....don't even get me started

Ok so maybe there was a few more than just one thing that annoyed me about BG1

Oh yeah, if your evil (which your not being a ranger) BG1 is twice as hard....so many parties of bloody wizards and bounty hunters and Flaming Fist guards i never completed it with an evil character ever...

yeah, those basilisk are assholes. only thing with a wizzard is if you get good enough, you can pretty much render your self invincible in fights and stuff, which is always cool. but to hard to start of with.

bah, to many damned quests! In the end i got fed up and barged in to the iron throne hq. It wouldn't be so bad, if the quests were, go to this place, kill 3000 enemies, and come back, and I'll give you experience. But no, instead its "go over there, and say this, to them and come back, and I'll laugh"

Damned NPC's
