The Funny Guild Wars Thread (renamed)
Yep, I had the privilege last night of playing Guild Wars with a very famous guy... Our very own Benny Hill, Rinox! #cough# Unfortunately, I didn't think to start recording until halfway through the...er...'race'
Just watch the clip. There's a 3mb and a 1mb version, for you lowly dial ups out there For Windows Media Player.

lol, you bastards...I didn't know you couldn't shake off enemies in GW. So I kept running...might I point out that Pev and Mole were already dead at that point. (because they were trying to save my ass, but that's a minor detail)
Love the vid tho.

I wanted to take out the healer guy that had been firing fireballs at me...if I was to have any chance at all he needed to go down first. Anyway, I was gonna die anyway...best to make a stand, I say.

I noticed that he was the target The Q was why... does landscape made some hatch which would disallow you to keep running or... ? (sry for the private chat hia) I would just keep it, by default.
Anyway, it looks funny. If I get the game (is it called guild wars or... ?), I will gladly take some part in your adventures.

yes, it's called Guild Wars. It can actually be purchased online and downloaded (Shiny did it that way). I have 3 characters that have finished the game, so I'd be more than happy to help you guys out.
btw...my necro needs help ascending. I might have to draft Pevil and Mole for that. hehe.

It's all gravy. I'm not to tired yet, if you are about.
And it is possible to out run enemies in a few ways.
1. I believe warriors get sprint.
2. Find and NPC and run past it so that the enemies target him
3. Head through to the next zone, as satis said.
4. As a ranger, if there aren't to many enemies you can use pin

with warriors
sprint
charge (elite)
balanced stance (so you can't get knocked down)
I have a little running warrior.

with a ranger its often good if you have a pet. That lags behind a little, the monsters group up on it, and you're away!
Apparently with trap-laying monsters, if you stop for a tiny second then keep going, they'll stop and start to lay traps, and by the time you're done you're long gone!
Very few monsters are in fact slower than you, and if you get out of their aggro circle, they'll give up. I also found a bitch of a Jade Armour (lvl 28 boss one with 2 minions) who would kill me in 2 hits, but refused to follow me away from his spawn point, and wouldn't let his minions follow me either.

New entry! haha.
Me and ox just had the most amazing run in Grenths. I've been tired all day so I was doing crap. We usually get away with 0 deaths, 1 at the most. Well I quickly hit 60dp today. But anyway. Set off from War Camp. Die almost straight away. Head down the hill, near to Kilroy Stoneskin, then down into the bowl bit. Flint Fleshcleaver is there. Kill him. Nothing. Head towards SF. Find Gorrel Rockmolder. Nothing. Go on past, find Thorgall Bludgeonhammer. Not a damned sausage. Head a little up the hill to see Wroth Yakslapper. Again, nothing.
We head up to the icecaves. Gorgash Thornbeard and Rockmolder drop nothing. *sigh* We zone to warcamp and set out again.
Follow the same path, ignoring the caves this time. A random summit drops me a Gold armour. Yay! Then another drops me a purple armour. Yay again! But not greens after 3 boss kills. We rezone using SF and head back to Grenths.
Flint is right by SF. So down he goes. And lo and behold, he drops me Flints Fleshcleaver! The first green I ever got, and swapped with someone for a Yakslapper. My Ele doesn't have to go without!
Dance a bit then go on We see Thorgall Bludgeonhammer. By this time I stand no chance and we take out the gnasher before I die. Ox manages to take out a bone fiend and 2 rangers on his own (henchies are dead too). Then look at this:
Ox and Thorgall - Windows Media Player ~1.5mb
edit: sorry its a bit crappy
But the reason for this being a funny thread is after all that in the video, Thorgall drops a Bludgeoner... assigned to me! Oh cruel fate
Anyhoo long story short, I find yet another purple armour and also get Gorrels Staff! What a run! The 3 runes I ended up with were major Hammer Master, Major Protection Prayers and Minor Air Magic. But wowee, what a run we had!
