FF8... sorry, I can't really help you, as I've only played a bit of it (though I've finished FFIX).

You could check out www.rpgplanet.com/ff9 , it's gamespy's site on the FF series, and is quite good IMO.

you like FFVIII? there was a lot of gameplay missing from that game. although i did borrow it, start to almost get in to it, and then i got to this demo that always crashed, and couldn't get past there, so maybe I just didn't get to the good bit yet.

Not too bad, may friend lent it to me because of the fact I like BG and he thought I might like it, it does have better graphics than the ones before.

If Squall is say, SeeD rank 20, you can take the level 1-20 tests but not the level 21 test or higher ones.

Another question. Why does my SeeD rank keep going down. I'm doing the quests as fast as possible.

Speed has got very little to do with your SeeD level, you can lose a SeeD level for doing thing like:
When on the side of the train if you are detected more than 10 times

If you immediatly use the escape option on the map while exploring the Tomb of the Unknown King you lose one SeeD level

When you've beaten Norg, if you show the little boy outside the 2F class room you lose a SeeD level

Doing other little things will decrease your penalty points so eventually as you do more things wrong then you will begin to lose SeeD levels, most of the time you don't even realise your doing it wrong until you lose a level. Just try to fully explore the areas, be nice to everyone (even though that sucks) don't wimp out of doing things etc. and take you time. That should help you regain some SeeD levels, and remember once you've done a test you can't do it again.

Thanks Fran, that makes some sense, I'm on the 2nd disc killing Rajin and Fujin, ya know. Get back when I've got more questions

You do know that you don't have to quote my entire post when your posting right after me don't you?

Rajin and Fujin are annoying, you have to fight them a couple a times and they keep reviving each other. Plus the fact that their weaknesses are totally different, i seem to remember using Pandora (the GF with the wind element) quite a lot. And in one of the fights Rajin absorbs Lightening which is kinda annoying.. :?

Yeah the first one, and Franny, what have I told everyone I am lazy so can't be botheres to delete your quote :P . In the first fight with Rajin, he's immune to lightning. And it's Pandemonia, not Pandora. I'm now on Fighting Seifer for the second time,I'm just going to beef up with all my guardian force equipped and using all of them.
