omfg! X-com fans attention
There's currently a community working on an X-com style game with the Quake 2 engine, and best of all, it's gonna be freeeee.

lol, i doubt it, have you forgotten that i happen to suck in a very 1337 way at every kind of modding tool? But i might get on the forum and harass the developpers with crazy ideas, as should you, and everyone with a taste for X-com.

if I get that much time, I might just start mapping for it. However, I do want 100% destructible environments, like in all the xcoms.

yea, I kinda miss WFA. I think I'll give Fusion a try whenever it comes out. I just hope there're servers and players. Man, Raven needs to hurry up with Q4.

Well, yes and no. It's based on the same universe, but the "real" X-com games are a series of kick-ass turn-based team strategy games, whereas interceptor was a space shooter, wing commander style.

I played the demo before i saw this post, its pretty much the same as the original x-com series, with dif graphics and dif interface but still a tactical shooter with strategy influence, also has research and so on.
