Oi - shut it - FF games are mostly good. I liked IX, found VIII weird, hardly played VII, and have played X once.

No not at all. You just need 6 gigs of free disk space. And if runs on a playstation it will run on a computer. If your computer is slower than a ps2 its time to upgrade!

6GB of hard disk space. Six. Giga. Bytes. WTF are they smoking? Hell, Baldur's Gate was only 5 disks long (six with expansion, granted). That only game out to a little over 3 gigs...3 1/2 with the expansion. WTF could fill up 6 GBs of HD space (besides porn)?

Would it be coincidence that 2 of the three ppl here that confessed to liking FF are oceanic, and thus way closer to Asia then the rest of us? Cos the main problem that i have with FF is in it's "asianness". The graphical design, the overly-long-spun-out attacks, the ridiculous character design and even more ridiculous love interests (e.g. Metal Gear Solid where he spends more time chatting up his gf than actually doing stuff, if i wanted to chat up a fictional character i'd pray to God hehe), and the general megalomania.
Call me xenophobic, but i don't like games with asian style.

I remember when I got my first cd game. I think it was descent. 16MB! WOO! Now we have games that only last for 10 hours or so and are 1.2GB.
