Post Bastion
I got Bastion from Pev during the sale (thanks again!) and I played it pretty much almost from beginning to end in a day or two - what a game. I used a controller (Xbox) to play it since it was originally a console game anyway, and I think that helped to get the game's fullest awesomeness out.

Basically, the art, the world building, but mostly the narrator and the music are amazing! The narrator doesn't just, well, narrate, he actually comments on almost everything you do in-game. Depending on your actions he'll throw out different lines. For example, when you fall off a skybridge, he'll say something like "the kid almost falls to his death and remembers to be careful" or when you use a particular combination of weapons, he'll have a line for that, etc. etc. You gotta play the game to really appreciate the system, not to mention the stellar voice work by the actor playing the narrator. :)

The ending of the game is genuinely touching, and the game offers a lot of replay value for people who like to hunt for challenges and completion. That's not really my kind of thing, but I may replay the game anyway for kicks, we'll see.

For Pev:

I saved Zulf (what a gripping moment) and chose to evacuate. I had a feeling that turning back time would do nothing to stop the Calamity from trying again, although I don't know that for sure. Either way, I saw no benefit in reliving the same cycles unbeknowst of what happened, so I chose to start over.

Glad you enjoyed it Ox, I also bought it on 360 as Niall had played the demo and enjoyed it so he's sitting here playing it now. I just love the fact the narrator responds to your gameplay. It just looks so polished as well. Simple but fun.

Yeah, it's really worth trying. Although the game becomes even better and better as you play...so I can only recommend buying the full version. ;)

Wait, what, are you recommending purchasing a game? Should we wait for a sale? Or should we just buy it at full price?

*/me checks to see if Ox has been replaced by aliens or marketing "experts"
