Myeaah...the trailer didn't look too bad actually, but I'm still not convinced by the whole reboot in sunny Brazil thing. :(

Actually the timeline is only few years after the events of MP2. From the story point it kinda makes some sense, heavy drinking and depression are great sources of body fat.

Seriously? But that pic above makes him look like he's in his 50s.

Isn't he also bald (like really bald) in MP3? I mean i'm no expert, but I would think it takes more than a few years to get really really bald...male pattern that is, not like disease or chemo baldness.

So reading is overrated much? Anyway to fill you in, Max shaves his head for a reason to be found out while playing the game. READ dammit.

I gave up reading for Lent. I'm absorbing these forums via osmosis.

To be honest, I don't even care about the stunts the developers pull or the reasons for it...Max Payne not being in Noir York and out in Brazil will not be fixed regardless of what they do. Sure, the game may be good, may be gritty, but it's not Max Payne anymore. So it's pretty lame they took the franchise name and rebooted it into...this.

meh, just because it's in Brazil doesn't mean it'll be bad. It'll be different, certainly. I'm not totally going to poo poo on it though until I get to see it. Or it gets critic-raped.

Oh I don't think it'll be bad. Just won't feel very Max Paynish to me, without the winter beating down and the grey urban landscape.

Wait till they come out with Max Payne 4. It'll be a RTS where you can play Mona, Max, or their clone children.

Short preview from Wired.

http://www.wired.com/gamelife/2011/10/m ... 3-preview/

Did I realize Rockstar was doing this? I don't think I did. Now I'm concerned. Because I really don't like Rockstar. Definitely waiting for the release to see if there's retarded DRM or the need to sign up for 10 different social "networks".

The preview does note that there's not regenerating health. How freaking awesome is that?

Haha, I guess it says something about this period that we are happy for something that seemed obvious before. ;) I gotta say tho...apart from the Rockstar thing, the game is looking less and less bad!
