what .. Ox didn't post anything about this yet? Did he jizz all over his pants and/or got stuck to his keyboard?

I'll probably read your comments to see if there's anything interesting :P

Actually...for some reason my steam store page didn't refresh and I didn't see it (yet). :P I just pressed F5 and voila! Crazy sales time!!

I'm getting Super Meat Boy today (supposed to be awesome, but you best play it with a controller). Still checking out the indie packs...

I grabbed Bad Company 2. I knew it would be on sale and 14€ is good enough.

Post Re: Steam holiday sales
General tip:

As you will have noticed, there is a SHITload of stuff being sold at a discount, and it should stay that way all the way through to January 2.

But don't buy any of the games you really like on a christmas discount just yet, as they may still appear in the daily sales (at a much lower price). I bought 1-2 games early last year only to see even more being knocked off their price a few days later on a daily sale, so I have been there. :P Just keep them in mind and buy them on the last day.

Unless they are like 2€ or something, obviously. In that case splurge - I do.

You're welcome. :P

And it's a comforting thought that almost everyone spent more than me on the first day of the sales. I'm sure I'll do worse soon though.

@ Peltz: because we're dirty European peasants, that's why! :( Hehe.

@ J: The Witcher is the best RPG in years. It takes a slow start (chapter I can be pretty meh) but stick with it...mature themes, a very morally grey and interesting world and a peculiar main character. And CD Projekt RED is a developer who believes in continued and free support and has a strong anti-DRM policy. Totally worth it at 4 €. :)

I didn't get any games myself today as I either already owned them (Witcher, Lara Croft), kinda wanted them but not at those prices (Resident Evil, Bioshock 2) or didn't care.

Ooh Derf got the 4-pack for Iron Grip: Warlord! Thanks derfmeister...we should totally try a game soon. It looks pretty sweet, mix of RTS defense setting and Serious Sam. :P

Hmh, i was quite pleased with the game actually. There is however the problem with texture loading which is huge pain in the ass.

Bought L4D2 for my brother today on sales (also bought him the witcher), finding him new year gifts is easy like this. :D

Also noticed that Europa Universales III is on Derf's wishlist and -75% now.
