Looks lovely and fun as ever, and they added online co-op this time. Should be good!

Actually, that looks kinda good - I never played the first one!

It'd be an awesome XBLA title, especially with it's Co-op.

Looks good!

Too bad they don't have a broader selection of characters :(

Played Trine 2 and mixed feelings...the backgrounds are absolutely gorgeous, and the mechanics are fluid and easy to use. Also the story and sounds and voice acting are all very good.

But I felt like the 'puzzles' they put in were sometimes a little too obscure this time around. I may have been tired and/or drunk on several occasions, but still I was left wondering "wtf" at some points and just looked it up online. It wasn't that the puzzle itself was so difficult most of the time, but just that the way to get past is not introduced anywhere earlier in the game. You just have to kind of guess. For example, the warrior can get a throwing ability for his hammer (upgrade), which can then break down distant fragile walls or piles of rocks. Since I don't think it was ever explained that this was possible (breaking rocks), I never tried to throw a hammer at them either. Which lead to quite a bit of confusion, as the background is otherwise entirely static and unbreakable.

The game is quite short, but that's ok. Better to be short and fun than to stretch it out into a boring long game.

I'd recommend to pick it up on the cheap if you like a nice little 2D platformer to kill time with. But don't expect too much!

I don't remember having any major troubles with puzzles, that's what you get from playing sober i guess.

Haha, yeah, I also think I may have been too impatient with most of it. Trine 1 was so easy (the way I remember it) that I didn't really expect to have to think even a little in Trine 2. ;)
