Post Duke Nukem Forever
Following 3D Realms' collapse, the franchise and art that was available has been picked up by Gearbox (of Opposing Force and Borderlands fame) who are busy working on the game. There was a playable demo at PAX which looked fun enough from the little you could tell (all shakycam footage from far from the screen), so it's real baby. Duke is back, HAIL TO THE KING!!

Can't wait. :D

hehe... I'm not holding my breath on this one. But still, it would be awesome. The Duke was freaking awesome when it came out. Like Serious Sam only way... way... way better.

I'm glad my DNF jokes were restricted to cynicism and did not devolve into horse dick sucking bets. :P

New DNF gameplay video in the wild. This was camera-cammed at some show or other in Amsterdam. Why didn't you go, Derf!? At any rate, you can skip the dweeb blabbering, but the gameplay is pretty freaking awesome. If you're going to watch it, stay through till the end of the gameplay! It's available in 720p, so may be worth clicking through.

I thought it was the overlords eye? That's what happened in the original Duke Nukem 3D :)

Well, it might look like an eye to you, but it looks like nuts to me. But only aliens would store their nuts in their face, I guess.

That finale was recreation of the original ending wasn't it? Although the troops below the stadium weren't in the original Duke, atleast i cant remember seeing them there but then again its been some time since i last played it.

Yeah it is a recreation of the original ending (excluding the expansion levels with the more alien-esque aliens and the burger place)

In the original, underneath the stadium there was fuck all - litterally, if you jumped of the edge you could kinda get underneath it (with the help of the jet pack) and there was nothing at all there :).

The PC version was probably a little more detailed.

Man...those graphics... were awesome. It's weird that I don't remember that level at all.
