Well, I got this game from Pevil for christmas, and I must say it's pretty sweet.

It's done by monolith productions, (FEAR) and it shows. There are many easter eggs from fear, such as the Wrench calander, the Cheezy pooz and those metal bookshelves that everyone has an a abundance of in FEAR, are back

However, this time, you don't get a shed load of ammo to take out your oponenents with. But neither do your oponents. The AI seems to have dropped a little on fear - but I think that's just because they are no longer working as a squad, because you often see your oponents fighting eachother.

I think the biggest disapointment for me, is it doesn't have the same graphics as fear - the texturing on the scenery is the same, but they cheated with things like the shadows, they gradient shadows mostly, not real (for instance, shining your torch on something will darken the area behind it, not cast a sillhouet of it)

However, this game shines in the fights. In fear, you'd hide behind a corner, blast away what you could, then hit the slowmo and run in like a maniac along side many options of sniping/beating them down.

This time, if you have a gun, you are lucky. And if you have Ammo for that gun, then you are even more lucky. More likely, you've spotted a gas pipe on the wall, and then proceded to carve your oponents head in. If it's a guy with a gun, you might concider tazering him fast, to take his weap then kill him with it.

What about when they are on their last legs of life, on their knees in front of you, about to drop dead? Do you let them live? No. You get the option to headbutt them, slam their head in to the floor, give them a swift punch, swift kick, snap their neck or even delivery one last blow with your current weapon of choice.

About the oponents, In fear they were highly trained pshysoldier, with big weaps. In this, they are drugged up people with the urge to kill. And it fucking shows. I've died a fair bit in this game so far. You hit a guy with a lead pipe to the head, and if it doesn't kill him he'll just keep on at you, beating/shooting or even shaking you to death.

These guys seriously don't stop. They just keep trying to violate you in places I don't want to think about.
