It would be very nice if it could live up to it's expectations.
Armies of Exigo also looks incedibly sexy.
Civilization 4 is also announced (but that will take some time), and Championship Manager 5 is unfortunatley pushed back, it was supposed to be released next month or so, but now it's early 2005.:(

I would like to second that series of grunts when it comes to Elder Scrolls IV. ;) And yeah, jesus freaking christ, I'm gonna be short on HD space soon. :o All those games...And I need to read a crapload of books, finish the games I'm currently busy with and be sexy...don't know how I'm gonna manage all those. :(

since the eidos/si split champ man 5 doesn't look like its going to be any good, why don't you give the football manager 5 gold demo a spin? i'm playing it now and its pretty good.

The strawberry demo download is the best version. :)

Does SI have it'own manager game? That would be great. I hate Eidos and I was wondering wether the series would be any good without SI, I'll check it out.

Yes, Eidos and SI had a fallout between them, so Eidos went on to develop the CM license further, while SI went and started a 'new' manager game. (which is basically just another approach to CM, of course) I say it's for the better...now we're doubling our chances of a good manager. :D There wasn't much serious competition anyway.

I downloaded the demo, and it feels just like the good ol' Chip.
I only had time to play one match (with Cowdenbeath), and I lost but it was some cup game against a second devisioner (I'm in the third Scottish devision), so I don't really feel sorry for that, I think I even was slightly better.
But I've got an exam toworrow, the last for this period, so I won't play more 'till tomorrow night.

the new mindgames are damn fun, playing as liverpool before i played man u i told whiskey nose that they wouldnt win the league, won the game with a 4-3-3 swapped to a 4-5-1 once we went 1 up. the game finished 2-0 and then told fergie that i owned him tactically. hehe some of my players loved it.

some things of note however, very difficult to play wide with wingers in this game and that whatever instructions you give the keeper as he just kicks it.
(which usually gets picked up by the other team and ends up back in your area straight away  )

it will need a patch or 2 once its out.

Mm, sounds fun. That is the SI-manager right BJ?

And about games in general: I'm gonna kill a playstation 2 owner for already being able to play GTA: San Andreas. Not cos I'm gonna steal his gear-I have my principles, after all-but just cos he can play it. On the bright side, they're kinda beta-testing it for us. Kinda like with the US and games that come out there first. ;)

Heh there was a leakage on metalheart replicants rampage on the net. Apparently someone uploaded an early beta build onto the net. I got to play it a lil. It reminded fallout a little but there were gazillion attributes and you get 5 points per lvl which is nonsense and it was extremly buggy, the demo has been withdrawn from the net. You might still find it somewhere.

Also Stalker has been delayed and hitman 4 has been oficially announced as hitman Blood money.
