Metro 2033 - TBA [PC/X360]
Webpage: http://www.metro2033game.com/en (not much else aside from trailer)

My first thought was something along the lines of how it compares to Stalker. Im not sure, I think the Metro game has some Hellgate'ish vibe to it as the videos show weird bugs crawling along the pipes and stuff, not to mention that the metro itself is the basis for the plot, regardless it looks interesting enough.

Here's another that shows a little bit of ingame footage and the atmosphere. Defenately more claustrophobic than Stalker. Looks good.

Thanks man, looks sweet, but there isn't much in-game footage... That, and i'm a bit concerned about the consoley-ness.

Almost the entire vid is ingame footage. What you are after is gameplay footage and yes, theres almost nothing from that department.

More vid stuff http://www.eurogamer.net/videos/digital ... d-gameplayLooks like a game I might be interested in...we'll see what the critical reception is like. Coming from a small-time developer I'm expecting a lot of bugs too (a la stalker), so might be wise to wait it out a little. But definitely looks good.

http://www.gametrailers.com/video/revie ... 2033/63406Gametrailers Review of the game. I would give 2-4 months for them to patch it up.

Ars technica had a review... there were some issues, but overall they considered it a buy. http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/2010 ... nlight.arsI won't be purchasing it immediately, but I may well pick it up later this year.

Yeah, same here. It looks very interesting. I'm just gonna sit out the patching and see if a promotion hits in the meantime. (echoing myself)

Re: Metro 2033 - TBA [PC/X360]
metacritic has scores all over the place on this game... from 92% on Vandal Online (whatever) to 58% on 1up. Looks like it may be a hate it/love it kinda game. I have a funny feeling that bugs are part of the problem. We'll see how it goes.

Re: Metro 2033 - TBA [PC/X360]
A colleague of mine is playing this on the ps3, he absolutely loves it. Apparently has a stalker/fallout kind of feel to it but more action (no more wandering round huge wastelands like in fallout). Probably more fps-ey as well. Seems to be selling well on consoles at any rate.

Since my current stable of games is rapidly depleting, if this game ends up on a decent special, I'll probably grab it.
