We had a mini erruption Friday. They are predicting something much larger within the next couple weeks.

Mm, are you outside of the danger area? If so, it's pretty cool. :) No volcanoes over here...been on a few of them while travelling, both in Italy. (Etna and Vesuvius) Was pretty neat both times. :)

Anyway, are there many active volcanoes in the US? Cos I seldom hear of them...could also be because no one lives around most of them with the low population density there, dunno.

the images of explosive diarrhea scream at me from the darkness.

Not many volcanoes in the US, no. Though we have plenty of other natural disasters to keep us occupied.

Yeah, I'm out of harms way. There's a couple towns that were built right in the destruction path of the last erruption (Hey, we don't have to cut any trees to build here, the volcano did it for us!). What kind of idiot would build in a clearing made by an active volcano???

What a crappy week so far. I got less than 4 hours sleep the last tonight. Woke up this morning to take my cat to the emergency vet. Sheer luck that we found out it was poisoned, and even luckier that I managed to find a vet to take him. There's a fog so thick you can't even see (let alone read) street signs. I found a vet by accident while looking for another place. And I have to schedule an interview at some company I don't even remember applying at.

If the valcano errupts and wipes out a city or two, in many ways it'll just simply things.

pffft...complain complain complain. A thermonuclear war and subsequent winter would fix all our problems. Satis for president of the US! I promise a multi-megaton thermonuclear device to every country in the world! Oh, and say goodbye to Canada.

lol. It's like ppl building/buying a house cheaply next to a river or an airport, then complain about their houses being flooded or the noise. Bastards.

Isn't the fog-ash thing pretty hazardous? lol@ Satis. Does Belgium get one too?

no volcanoes in the UK. infact, the only natural disasters we have are mild scale floods.

hehe....Belgium gets two! Just cuz I lub you guys.

I don't know much about volancoes, except I'd never leave near one. Just like I woulnd't buy a house in a flood plain, or tornado alley, or on the east coast of Florida. :)

The ash is the worst for people with existing lung issues. So far only one town has been hit by ash. The erruptions are daily now, and varying in frequency.
