hahaha, that's a freakish coincidence: about a month ago, me and some buddies tried it and labelled it oficially the worst beer we had ever tasted (and that's saying someting, coming from an added total four beer bellies).

Sucks that you went and spend your cash on it hehe...Belgian beers, normally speaking, absolutely don't suck, but i don't know which ones they're selling over there of course. :) You did like Duvel aye?

Maybe i'll make a short list of my fav Belgian beers, when i'm more awake. (3 AM now) Hoep they sell them all over there though.

I'm happy to say i've never heard or seen that "beer" you mention there.

Some of my favorites:

Duvel (of course)
Leffe
Grimbergen
Orval
Verboden Vrucht
Delirium
...

They're all heavier beers, i like those better than regular beers. Unless i know i'm going to drink all night and morning long i prefer those, otherwise my nr.1 is jupiler, but after a few it doesn't really matter anymore.

Delirium? Does it have the logo of a pink elephant?
I heard that that is really horrible.

But Duvel rules.

Yeah delirium-logo is a pink elephant. I really like it, others don't, can't argue much about taste.

heh...unfortuanetly there isn't much of a selection of Belgian beers. Duvel of course, but very few others. I saw Urthel and was like 'Hey! A Belgian beer!' But it sucked.

If I see any others, I'll let you know.

I did get some Monty Python beer, actually. Monty Python's Holy Grail Ale. Haven't tried it (kinda afraid to), but I may just keep it for the comedic value.

Buh appearantly Urthel is pretty well known in America, even gets a gold medal: http://www.tastings.com/scout_beer.lasso?id=143802.
It's made by a small, to me totally unknown brewery. So it kinda surprises me it's available there.

The Monty Python beer sounds cool, although i would have some doubts about it as well. "Satan" is another nice beer btw, not just for taste, but the name alone is worth a try.

*edit* To give you something to compare: Leffe (blond) and Delirium get the same rathing as this Urthel-stuff. Duvel is not in the database, that sucks.

Heh, that database you linked to is falling apart J. :) I don't trust any site that hasn't got Duvel listed anyhoo ;) Satan beer is a must, makes me feel all warm and evil inside.

Mm, you know what Satis, if i have more cash (i.e., by August lol ) I'll make a small assortment of beers and ship them off to Texas. In case i forgot by then, feel free to remind me. Damn, I'm such a generous mofo, I ROCK!

Hell, I love the Duval so much I'd be tempted to send you cash so you would send the beer. You know it is nice having Mr. Satis in a good mood and a nice new beer does the trick sometimes.

Hehe, no need for cash, it's on the house. Unless you mean you'd want it right NOW of course, but I think you're sensible enough to sit out another month or two and make me spend my own cash on it. ;) Tnx for considering it, in any case.

Now you made me want to drink a Duvel, dammit. Nothing in the basement though and I'd have to ride relatively far in the rain to get some at this hour, so blah. I think i'll have a glass of milk instead. :/ Maybe it's for the good, so tired that Duvel's nasty kick could have me fall sound asleep during this job.
