hey ox, i have a 600k connection (any ftp tips? got it, haven't used it yet.)

600k upload? :/ dammit, everyone's better off than me. I'd love to give you some tips, but i'm really basic at setting up ftp's, as i'm not really into having my own FTp server with my crap upload speed. :( But i'm sure you can find more "advanced" help on the web, it's not that hard really. Or you could force Satis to help hehe...he's got a friggin for real-server running ;)

It'd be cool if you had an ftp; transferring very large word files would be much easier ;).

And about the dollar being dominated by the pound..well, even the euro is dominating the dollar atm  I bet the Zloty and baath are doing too. :)

You fool!

It doesnt necessarily mean that the economy is shit.

There might be an exchange rate of £1 to 99999999 Laos Dollars or umming, it dosnt mean that in Laos a beer will be priced at 1 LD.

Hehe, in fact it often DOES mean that the economy is crap, as inflation and economical disruption tend to go hand in hand. But this is not necessarily the case tho.

Btw, the so-called "Zaire" currency of Congo, when it was still named Zaïre, was the best laugh.

Quote:
By 1992 and continuing into 1993, most sectors of the economy were in a state of advanced decay. Hyperinflation was a permanent fixture. The country's currency continued to depreciate to new lows against the dollar (Z110 million = US$1 by December 1993), causing a demonetization of the economy and a breakdown of the banking system, as well as severely damaging Zaire's international competitiveness. Poverty and unemployment were widespread.
