The American embassy translates all articles about the USA into English and mails them to Washington. Which is how they got wind of it over there. Trust me, your ambassador is mightily pissed off at Flahaut. And the bad thing is that these things don't even gét to the States, I fail to see why they should be sooo annoyed.
EDIT: HUMO is the magazine, we do NOT have ministers of defence who write their names in capitals.

ah, well, ambassadors are political bastards, so I guess I could see that. He was, no doubt, a Republican ambassador. Blah. Screw him and all his beaurocratic ponies.
