Aaaah, the joy of football discussions. NOw as we're not going to the EC I know we shouldn't shout too loudly but the Scottish display sure warmed my heart.

It's not that I hate Football-Holland in the Hatey-hate way, they just throw too much of a fuss. They think they can win everything because their footballers are more talented. But they don't have 'the heart' like Rinox remarks. Football's not an exact science. That's why you can't ever REALLY buy a team.
That's why Holland, for all their panache, will always find it hard to beat guys that clench their fistst and refuse to lay down and die. Like us. Like Scotland.

Maybe it IS Advocaat's fault after all. Normally I'm the last guy to point at the coach, but maybe he should just think about calling up some of the lesser gods. The guys that haven't 'been there' and 'done that'. Surely there must be enough Dutch talent in PSV and Ajax (and maybe even Feyenoord, who knows?) to at least sub players like De Boer, Reiziger and Kluivert? Those three are the exact embodiment of all what's wrong with Oranje: overpaid, overvalued and overadored. But enough of my rant. We'll see what happens on wednesday.
