Thanks for the pics! Why wouldn't you go on that bench though?  Overgrowth and bugs? Also, I demand you go back and make pics of those teenage swimmer girls.  I loved the nature - it looks all very painterly with those fall colours and the clear river water! I haven't gone camping in a long time, but I always liked it. And years in the boyscouts have made me a proficient outdoors cook (as opposed to a completely clueless indoor cook - people have low expectations outdoors  ).

I love being the cook and fire starter. It reveals how impractical and cack-handed everyone else is. I've rescued some pretty bleak camping and BBQ situations with my 1337 pyro / hunter skillz.

Yeah it's surprising how few people know how to make a proper fire and how to maintain it. It's something of an art in areas without ample wood to keep a fire going at just the right volume to have practical use for it as long as possible. |

I estimated those chicks to be about 13. Shiny thought 15. Either way, you're going to jail!  Like Derf, I like showing off my 1337 fire-building skills. Sure, I used a lighter, but for all of about 2 seconds, enough to get the tinder going. After that we had a good fire going until we left. Actually, we had enough coals that we probably could have left the whole day, come back, and still gotten a fire out of it. *shrug* |

Really only sharing because usually, when you're out and you're drunk every photo you take is horrible. You either look a state or the photography was terrible and out of focus, etc. But this one I really like and it's given me a great memory of my birthWEEK (Yeah, the party was a week long near enough!) and there's also a self portrait I did that in the same folder and I like that too, so figured I'd show y'all.
