Haha yeah that was exactly my reaction and that of most of my friends who are into PC's or PC gaming. I haven't had any issues since barring some artifacts in a very graphics intensive game after I left it idling for 30 minutes or so, so it's not just that it actually allows me to boot again but it works (mostly) just fine again.

Of course, last time I wrote something like that the card died a few days later so......

The card is fine. it's just fine. Like bread, it gets better with age... errr... hmm.

The new AMD cards look very interesting to me. Definitely leaning toward a fully AMD system next time around. After my IRA contributions...
