I don't, I have a Siemens M35 or something, got it from my grandfather, since he never used it, and can get err... 'beltegoed' (what the hell is it in English :?) from my grandfather's bank account as well :P

beltegoed? errr, does it mean "belt-slapped"?

Heh, never trust online tranlators.

Beltegoed is a fixed amount of money you "buy" at your mobile phone operator. With that money you can call and send sms, and when you run out of it, you "buy" new money.

A worthless system, if you have a erhm, wuddoyacallit in English? subscription? You call cheaper and often get fre minutes (like me I get 45 minutes for free at T-Mobile for just 15 Euro, of course then I have a crappy network but that doesn't matter to me).

To fulfill Arathorn's good explanation

beltegoed (holland-dutch)=belwaarde (flemish-dutch)= call credit

:)

ditto, I've got a prepay. I only use like 20 minutes a month. It's alot cheaper than if I went with some sort of plan.

I never got why anyone would pay more (than a home-phone) for a very optional thing like a cellphone. Ofcourse there are some minor occasions where it would be helpful, but on the whole my motto is "if i ain't at home, i'm doing something important enough for you not to bother me". :) Don't get me started on texting either.

P.S. this is not countign cellphones for work, ofcourse. But those get paid by the firm anyhoo.
P.S.2 i'm very much aware that i'm being obnoxious lol. Never mind me, just feel like being a bitch. :)

Yeah i've got pay-as-you-go as well, i never call anyone really so only use txt messages. And i don't send enough of those to warrent getting a contract

Aye, im on Pay as you go aswell, i dont really use it enough to be on contract.

i'm on a contract but swapping back to pay as you go also, the only real benefits off a contract are getting a phone for free and not having to bother with top up cards. i hardly use it now my g/f and i live together.

I basically only use my cellphone for emergencies. Got it during a period of time where my car kept crapping out on me.

btw, Ox is a bitch who's too cheap to buy a cell phone.
