err, if he just died, wouldn't that put him into his 80s at a minimum? That's pretty freaking old, if it's double the usual lifespan.

Yeah he was 80. Freaking chimp will probably have outlived me age-wise, given my current lifestyle. :roll: Not a happy thought haha!

Hey, we own a pet tortoise that'll live to be somewhere between 30 and 130 years old (depending on who you ask). So the damned thing could outlive not just me, but my (theoretical) children, and their children. Then again, Charles Darwin's pet tortoise died in 2006.
