Haha yeah, i mean for fuck sake they may aswell have produced 1 million knives for the same purpose.

If they REALLY wanted to fuck up the krauts in occupied Europe, they should have done it properly. Produce a shit-cheap tiny SMG with a 20 round magazine. Something along the lines of a Grease Gun :)

The ekranoplan! A soviet-era airplane that used ground effect to skim water at 15ft an 300mpg, carrying a huge payload without using much fuel.

Yeah, that's insane. Talking about insane plans, the nazis had designs for the 'Amerika Bomber' during WWII, ie planes that would be capable of carrying out bombing runs on targets on American soil. Even though it was practically speaking virtually impossible at the time, the idea was good. With its massive coastline the US couldn't possible defend every city or installation with decent AA.

This sort of stuff has been popping up a lot in my life recently, I watched a documentary on the varying fighter planes of the cold war, including several versions of the MIG which I found really interesting. The insane weaponry was an awesome read, and that water-aeroplane thing is class! Imagine looking out to harbour and seeing that!

A chick at work sent this to me and I was amused for a bit so figured I would share. I can just imagine putting the work into something like this and having to sneeze at a bad moment to wipe out the hard work.

A U.S.soldier who had most of his leg muscle blown off in Afghanistan has become the first to see it grow back in a pioneering experimental operation.

Marine Isaias Hernandez lost 70 per cent of his right thigh muscles when an enemy mortar exploded as he tried to carry out repairs to a truck in Afghanistan.

With such severe muscle damage Hernandez would ordinarily have had his leg amputated.

But a re-think in the way soldiers are treated led to the wounded warrior being injected with a growth promoting substance extracted from pig bladders.

Coolio. Of course, this is probably only possible when it's almost exclusively muscle tissue, so seeing your knee shot to shit or bones crushed is likely still a one-way trip to amutationville. :( But it's a start!
