Shiny and I watched that movie. It went from decent in the beginning to just plain stupid by the end, in our opinions. Oh well, to each their own.

It's been awhile since we've seen a new movie. I think the Simpson's movie may have been the latest one. That's kinda sad.

I just watched Beowulf. The beginning was good but then it started to drag like a snail. Pity. The final fight was ok though but a bit too predictable.

Good music and atmosphere though.

Mediocre. Not wort seeing at all, if you ask me.

I'd sooner watch 3-hour documentary on the myth about how Perseus slayed Medusa.

I guess you have to like animated movies, but Spirited Away is hauntingly beautiful

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0245429/

A lot of Miyazaki movies are, actually.

The Mist is a great movie. Top-notch thriller-horror!

Got inspiration from Suga's portal credit song thing...the credits for 'Spirited Away'. Beautiful Japanese song :) And a fitting ending to a wonderful film.

I love Spirited Away! And Howls Moving Castle!
There is another gorgeous Japanese Film called. uh. 'My Friend Totoro' I think... eep.

The first time I watched Spirited Away, our Japanese teacher made us watch it in Japanese with no subtitles. Quite an experience. He kept assuring us that we should at least pick up the gist of it.... Alas, it was not so. Hehehe :P

Haha...well at least he overestimated you all, better than the opposite! ;)

But yeah...magical stuff. Did you see Castle in the Sky? Or Grave of the Fireflies? That one is so damn sad.

I'm no expert at this stuff but I do love everything I've seen from Miyazaki so far. But I should probably stop talking about it cos the sissie alert is ringing loudly already. ;)

heh. I like some anime. By some I mean a huge minority. I went through a phase where I rented all the anime I could find. Like 99% of it was crap. Oh well, whatever.

Anyway, Shiny and I have been watching The Colour of Magic recently. It's a made for tv movie or something, obviously based on Terry Pratchett's book of the same name. It is actually amazingly good.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1079959/

Christopher Lee voices death. How appropriate.

So anyway, if you haven't seen it I recommend you do.

Oh, I'll definitely have to look in to 'The Colour of Magic'.
That's actually the only Terry Pratchett book that I've read. It was okay, but I can't say that I'm sold on the Discworld yet. I'll definitely give it another go further down the track though.
'The Luggage' has an actor.... really... how very interesting.

Pssssh, sissie Rinox? .... never!! .... *cough* :P

haha, the luggage is cool. Sorta. The special effects are kinda crap on the luggage, actually, but it's very true to the book in many, many ways. I'm sure Pev's seen it.
