Interesting, and i only read the intro. It surprises me there are yet no legislative controls, or better, a standards commitee.

oh yea, just what we need, more government commitees and legislation. :P It all comes down to a lazy populace that doesn't give a fuck. If people actually cared, they'd boycott companies that tried the BS and drive them out of business. Other companies wouldn't use underhanded tactics not because of some obtuse law with loopholes, but because they're afraid consumer backlash would wipe them off the map.

That still kinda happens. But when you legislate something, you legitimize it. Do not call list? Sure....no spam calling. Except for people you already have a business relationship with and people begging for campaign money. What does that do? It makes businesses you already have dealings with think it's ok to call you to try to sell you more shit. It just makes me want to dump them as a company.

Anyway, I'm ranting. I've had a really, really, really shitty day.

Meh, people don't step up until it's really too late anyway. :?

I heard about the BF controversy from a friend...I probably wasn't gonna buy the game anyway so it doesn't change much for me. But this makes me want to buy it even less. :)
