Post Death of Steve Irwin
Article here

Don't think anyone ever expected him to finally get hit.

I worry about the damn stingray. Poor bugger is probably still in trauma after having some crazy auzzie touching it and speaking to it.

Well, I feel bad for his family and all, but it's not like he didn't have it coming. I mean the guy was feeding crocodiles while holding a baby...not exactly my idea of a safe and uneventful life.

Anyway, I'll miss his TV antics. :(

Yeah I've always joked about the next show would be his last one. At least he died doing something he loved. But thats the worrying thing now, he always said on his shows how crocs and snakes were not the ones to blame for human deaths 99% of the time, and he'd probably be the first to admit it was his fault for being in the stingrays habitat that he died, but now there will be people out there who'll go and kill any stingray they can because they're 'obviously vicious and deadly'.

lol.... I don't think there'll be a massive outpouring of stingray hatred. Most people know the guy was crazy and just begged to be killed by some animal or other. I can't say that I was a fan or anything...certainly not. Nor do I feel sorry for him... he asked for this. But if I had died skydiving, I wouldn't expect anyone to feel sorry for me either. :p I'm sure he had an interesting life. And he's already reproduced, so no Darwin award either.

satis has more faith in humans than me. they may not go hunting for stingrays, but i'm damn sure there will be plenty of people who if they happen to see one, will go for it like a shot.

lol, given how hard that stingray pwned Irwin, I think people would do better to just back off and let them do their stingrayie business.

Aren't those things huge down under anyway? Not Kraken-huge but you know. :P

yeah, mixed in with pictures of you satis

that is one hell of a big ray. I've only ever seen small ones in the Sealife centre here in Scarborough, but they're damn cool critters.

edit: mole just informed me, the stingray killings have started
