Scientists at Cardiff University say they can confirm that DNA, the genetic blueprint for life, did exist in the mysterious red rain which fell over India in 2001.This may be a key to learning about possible lifeforms in outer space.

There was a report of "red rain" over India some time ago. I believe they found it associated with a meteor impact in the atmosphere. Now there's talk of the meteor having carried "life", which is what caused the rain to turn red.

At least, I believe that's what's going on.

BTW, in the next 10 years, India will be covered with a red grass that kills everything terrestrial. The grass will spread to the rest of the world, completely replacing terran vegetation and killing off everything from Earth, including humans. Then the aliens will come to take up residence in their new alien-formed planet.

Couldn't the red rain be a result of a bad sand storm followed by rain? So the rain had sand in it which may have appeared red?

Well, I know from personal experience that rain in Korea is occasionally red for similar reasons. Red dirt from China (dirt, dust, whatever) ends up as dust in the atmosphere that then gets rained down.

I don't know all the particulars of the Indian rain, but in Korea at least it's an annual thing, just part of the weather.

some more about it:

The red rain that lashed parts of Kerala last month is eluding explanations as the days go by.

Quote:
The biological study — partly conducted at CESS and at the Tropical Botanic Garden and Research Institute (TBGRI), Pacha Palode — revealed a red coloured cell structure.

This has been tentatively identified as spores of some fungus species and are now being cultured by the TBGRI. ‘‘The red colour of the rain appears to be mainly because of the spores,’’ Baba said.

Heard that theory before. I can't remember the counter-argument tho but it outlined that it was highly unlikely.

Isn't that the point of a counter-argument?

Yep. Ah I remember it now. If it was the case then diseases would be formed from these visitors. Now we can say for certain how some diseases evolved on this planet so this is not the case.
