GoogleTalk
well, for anyone that hasn't heard, Google just released GoogleTalk. It's basically an IM client/VOIP client. You have to have a gmail account to use it (if you want one and don't have one, pm me with and existing email address and I'll invite you).
I, for one, welcome our Google overlords!

It's not that usefull yet, most people over here are on MSN and are not likely to switch, and you can't use Google Talk for MSN (yet).
I think everybody who wants a Gmail account already has one. Maybe it's time to release it through public subscriptions though. It seems very mature for a beta.

yea, gmail as an IM client has a bit too much competition right now. You can also make computer-to-computer phone calls a la Skype, too. And there are going to be future enhancements that'll make it worth the switch, I think. Like encryption. It's about damn time people starting encrypting IM conversations.
