I think I'd rather get a yearly trip into low earth orbit as a perk of being a major investor rather than a single trip to the moon. Still, that's cool as shit.

Nah, why would you put your life on the line if being an astronaut is the ultimate goal? In that case simply spending 100 million would be much better.

so barring my airplane blowing up on it's own it'd be all good, and surely then chances of dying of a stress induced heart attack while trying to earn enough so that $100 million is worth paying are more than that of your plane blowing up, so i reckon it wouldn't be too risky...
