This is cool as shit. Every single key is a separate display that changes based on your language layout, application being run, etc. Can't imagine the expense.

I have some doubts.

What happens when youre playing a game and want to enter a cheat code during game play?

It probably wont work at all especially with windows. What happens if yo ALT-Tab out of stuff?

Well you still know where the tab and alt buttons are.
The keyboard just displays different icons on buttons in games.

Damn man. Imagine if one of the keys broke? What would you do?

Shame it's not and ergonomic keyboard.

not ergonomic = ick. lol. not a bad idea but definately one of those things thats gonna be a "look at me i'm 1337 and have tons of money" type things. Although some games do have so many keys its ridiculous.

alright then mole, you go and invent a way of making lcd screens into shapes other than rectangles, then you can make it ergonomic...

and i'm pretty sure you woulnd't need to alt tab out of programs, you just press the relevant key on the keyboard to skip to then right programme :P

but yeah if you broke the screen on a key you might be a bit buggered as you'd never remember what it did for every programme

Wouldn't need to. You could just make the screens the same shape, and make their casing a different shape. Divide the keyboard in the middle, which would allow more room for cool stuff on the inside (More functions due to more space for electronics)

I am always suspicious of ergonomic stuff, cos I'm always at my pc and never suffered physical problems cos of it. Conslusion of Rinox would be that it doesn't work.

Then again, I also think physiotherapeutic massages don't work, even with my two parents being physiotherapists. :)

lol, the both work.

Anyway, no carpal tunnel for me, but maybe I should switch at some point just in case. Seeing as I've been typing for 19 years, I'm thinking I may be immune, but bleh...if it makes me type faster/more accurately, I'm cool with it.

There's also the Dvorak keyboard layout. Supposed to help some too.

I found out about Dvorak recently, because of the name being in Splinter Cell: CT

I want an ergo keyboard, it just feels nicer to type on.

And I'm starting to think that this keyboard is just a CGI image.

Ofcourse, that may have already been said in the thread.

The dvorak keyboard was touted at making you key more efficiently/faster, but it's not true. The studies that showed this were done by the people who developed it, and were massaged to show positive results. Independant studies have shown no appreciable difference between the two layouts.
