some couple took pictures of the tsunami with their digicam as it rolled onto the beach they were on and killed them. How freaky is that. |

to answer the quest, it's a digital camera that was discovered by recovery teams. The camera was all smashed up, but apparently the memory card survived enough to extract the pictures, and that's what came out of it. There's a story on CNN about it. |

i daresay if you saw something like that coming, you'd also see the speed and realise the pointlessness of running. or something. *shrugs* either that or they were very dumb. probably americans

Actually, i though what a let down, i mean don't get me wrong, i know that's a horribly masive wave (probably caused by nuclear testing under the water, not a quake ) but still... I was hoping to see a nice masive tall wave, the kind you could surf.

lol i daresay some much bigger ones followed. after all, that musta been the leading one, other than some pretty 'small' waves before that which probably only reached a little higher up the beach than the normal ones had been doing. |
