yeah, i honestly don't understand how anyone can sit there and smoke... i mean... it smells horible... it can't taste any better. and it Kills. It's a fact. its just... ugh. I got nothing against people who smoke. I'm friends with people who smoke... but... yuck

I think smoking is shit, but I also think the government is going a little too far restricting it, forbidding it everywhere, with the most rediculous place where smoking is being banned: the coffeshop. The law against smoking is to provide people a smoke-free working place, but why would you want to work in a coffeeshop if you don't smoke?

to be honest, I dissagree. They could ban smoking the world over. And the only reason they don't, is because of the size of the tobacco industries. To many people would be laid off because of the government. But I'm glad to here places like Pizza hut etc, are banning it. Cuz it's bad enough when my mom smokes while, i'm trying to eat. Or even in the house.

bah, I think banning smoking anywhere is BS. I mean, it's legal. Make it illegal, I don't care. But if you're going to keep it legal, don't discriminate against smokers. Is it legal to not take a shower? Is it legal for a stinky person to eat in a restaurant? Is it legal for someone to bring their screaming brats to a restaurant? Why are the smokers being discriminated against? I think that screaming children and scary, smelly people probably cause more of a monetary loss to restaurants than smoking.

Like I said, just ban smoking altogether. Yep, it's bad for you. I don't agree that it stinks (I like the smell, I even liked it when I didn't smoke) but to each their own. EVERYONE hates screaming children. Ban screaming children.

Anyway, it annoys me. If it's legal, it's legal. Slowly banning it (in clubs! In bars!) is BS. I think that decision should be up to the individual establishment, not the government. If a restaurant decides to ban smoking, cool. I'll eat somewhere else. But I know that if I owned a restuarant, I sure as shit will smoke in it, and fuck any government that says otherwise.

Key difference -

=> Smelling bad = crappy, but not life-threatening
=> Smoking = crappy, and life-threatening
