I find it ironic that politicians are trying to get us to vote on this because a) we dont know what wee are voting for and b) Its not a democratic body anyway.

You guys already voted? lol. I'm due to vote this sunday, both for european and Flemish government. We'll see, not sure what i'll vote yet.

Yeah dutch and english voted earlier, heard something about "they weren't supposed to give away the official results yet but the dutch did" or something. Anyway governement parties seem to get a beating, it will probably the same scenario in belgium as well.

Haven't decided what to vote neither, will be a last minute call prolly.

Those stupid PvdA commies didn't even have a European programme. All I heard that populist Wouter Bos say after the election is that the Dutch voter is fed up with the current government. Bah.
We didn't give the official results but a 99.99999% accurate estimate btw. :)

i voted labour (dont know why)

anyway, in relation to Ox's post, i believe that in such an apeathetical democracy as today, the state should produce some minimum information to ALL peple in a format which they understand.

in relation to your second point, yes, i think there is a huge democratic deficit within the whole of the EU, mainly because the EParliament (being the most democratic institution) is by far the weakest.
