Realistic ways to make some extra cash
Well as you all know, I want to build a new PC. But I need cash to do this.
I don't have anything to sell (aside from crap loads of games, but I refuse to sell computer games)
So I need some _realistic_ suggestions on how to get a bit of cash in hand.
Also, I'm bored, so I'm posting. Might as well make the most of my time.

Sell your body!
Seriously, apart from becoming a prostitute, a guy I know did some tests to make money. Things like reading a magazine with special glasses that recorded what he was looking at (like ads). Or there are many pharmaceutical companies that offer money for testing products. As dodgy as it may sound, it isn't that bad or weird.

Yeah, lending your body to science brings in money.
Donating sperm is also an option perhaps.

the most common options I've seen.
1. Get a second job part time.
2. Donate blood (plateletes)
Donating sperm is unrealistic. I think it's an urban legend. If you could really make money donating sperm, every guy would whack off in a cup and make a bit of extra cash every week.
Pharmaceutical testing is a way to make money, but I recommend against it. You don't know wtf you're doing to your body. My two options at least won't endanger your life.

Donating blood doesn't earn you any money over here.
I saw the sperm thing the other day on tv with a guy that did this cage-fighting thing. To enter you needed to pay x dollars, to raise that money he worked part-time and donated sperm. So i don't think it's THAT urban legend.

The first thing i would suggest, is work more. Overtime and whatever for 2 weeks or something if its available.
Secondly, i was going to say Liquidation. Business liquidate their assets when theyre having cach-flow problems and you could do the same. It takes balls though to do this. Make a list of all of your valuables (including Pevil) and select which one would be acceptable for liquidation. Sell em, and hey presto, you have cash from stuff you didnt really need.

Yeah, blood donation doesn't get you cash over here.
Liquidation - Like I said, the only stuff I really have that is of any value, is games. I do even have some copies of games that pev has. But they're mostly PC, so techinichally I can't have 1 disc for 2 game installs But I've been trying to find stuff to sell, and It's not working.
Overtime - The place where I work, overtime is one of those odd things. It comes sometimes, for about a week, then dissapears. Plus we are having new starters, so that's less hours for everyone else :S
I was thinking about getting a paper round somewhere. That's a bit of cash in hand every week. Something to tide me over till next months pay day at least!

I'd go with the medical testing man...easy money. Only slight chance that you'll get fux0red. Usually they have some "no drinking, no dope" policy which can be a bitch (as they often have samples of blood and urine because of the tests ), but you don't do either iirc so you're perfect to go.
If you're more of a hands-on man do Bj's suggestion.

over here you don't get money for donating normal blood. You do get money for donating plateletes, though, which is more painful (or so I hear). I've never done it, but I've had friends who have.
Bleh, anyway, medical testing...whatever, I guess. I'd rather get another job, personally. Alternately, you can hook Pevil. Failing that, perhaps burglary? Mugging?
Or you could sell drugs. That tends to be rather stressful, though.

I assume plateletes is donating bloodplasma? They take your blood, filter out the red bloodplates(cells, whatever) and put it back in.
If that's what you're talking about, that doesn't bring in any money either here. I did it every week (or every 2 weeks, don't remember) back at uni, it's not really extra painful, it lasts a lot longer of course.
